Went to Som Tum for our anniversary after being recommend by friends, it was a Saturday night and we were the only guests until another couple turned up at 8.30pm. It felt a bit unusual but the jost was really good, she explained everything on the long menu list to us and described the best dishes to try. I have to admit that her advice was spot on and the food was excellent and a fair price also. Our host came for a chat at the end of the meal and it was really interesting in a good way, overall we really enjoyed the meal and the company if the host, it is such a shame that customers were so sparse but maybe it was just a quiet evening. We will return and bring along friends and family
Having just come back from Thailand and missing the food we booked Som Tum on Saturday night. The food and service were lovely. There were 6 of us and we all had different starters and main courses including huge grilled prawns, soup, salad, Teriyaki, green curry, prawns chilli and basil. All freshly cooked, piping hot and as good if not better than the food we ate in Thailand. Would highly recommend
We had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. The Thai food was fresh, delicious, and the service was friendly. This is definitely the best Thai food we have tried in the UK. Our favorite dishes were the Som Tum salad, big grilled tiger prawns, prawns with Thai basil and chilli sauce, as well as the incredible Thai soups and curries. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious.
This is the best Thai food we have ever had in UK. Always perfectly cooked and the service is lovely and friendly. Do not let the location put you off. The restaurant runs in the Northern Inn on Cobwell Road on Friday and Saturday evenings only. You can also order take-always. Fantastic value for fantastic food. We have tried just about everything on the menu and it is all lovely. Reserva una mesa ahora
Som Tum was previously closed, but has now reopened at the White Lion pub, which is much closer to Retford Town Centre. We visited on a Saturday night and were delighted with the food, which was delicious, hot, spicy, and fragrant - everything you would expect from Thai cuisine. We plan to make this a regular dining spot to savor Jan's fantastic cooking.
Great service, lovely fish cakes, Som Tum salad and prawns to start. Super main courses of beef rending, , and prawns with sweet basil and chilli. Everything came to the table freshly cooked and piping hot. By far the best and most authentic Thai food for miles around
I stopped by after a day out and the food was delicious and fresh. For starters, I had a Thai salad and fish cakes. For my main dish, I had a dish with massive prawns and basil. The owner was very kind and the food was excellent! We will definitely be returning.
After a work colleague recommend this restaurant to me, I decided to book a table for me and my partner. What can I say? The food was absolutely gorgeous, service was lovely and just an all round enjoyable evening. Would definitely go again. Reserva una mesa ahora
