While this isn't the most affordable restaurant, the quality of the food is truly exceptional, and you definitely get your money's worth. I had a gastric sleeve, so I can't eat much, but I ordered the tapas trio and some onion rings, which I still couldn't finish. My friend, who has a hearty appetite, started with smoked mackerel pâté and had the steak and ale pie for her main course, yet she couldn't finish her meal either. She couldn't stop raving about how delicious the food was. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Absolutely fantastic place to go for a nice meal. The staff were so kind and helpful and the atmosphere was amazing. My Fiancé is Celiac and trying to find somewhere that offers a good selection of food that's Gluten-free is a challenge but The White Lion smashes it out of the park. The portions are perfect and my Fiancé said that her gluten-free food tasted amazing (also hard to come by). Definitely going to visit again and keep going until we try the whole menu. Finally to top it all off the pricing is bang on.

We go for dinner and there's always a lovely staff member with such a friendly attitude that waits on us. Then, the meals are still delicious even from when we first stumbled upon the pub a year ago. They have a good chef and/or good recipes. The pub has such a warm and cosy feel to it with good decor. We manage to always sit in the same spot though. If we lived closer, I would treat ourselves to going here more often.

Great food, some creative menu choices always well prepared. The staff team are usually really friendly and helpful. Price wise it's not cheap but it's good quality and worth the money. Staff were friendly speedy. Food was very nice, though the Vegetarian thai green curry I ate was nice, I'll order something else next time. Lots of Gluten, Dairy free options and Vegan/ Vegetatian. Loved the Pistachio liqueur. Left feeling Merry and tipsy. Lovely night.

7.30 stopped serving food. Not great, went to Lock keeper instead. Greene King are usually much better than this. Can't comment on food as a result. Very loud clientel, seem incapable of talking, have to shout even though they're sat next to each other.

First time visiting the white Lion as we don't live in the area .We was coming home from a day out . The meal was very good we had the Sunday Roast , served nice and hot .Pleasant staff . If in the area again we would certainly visit again .

On a break at Clumber Park Lodges. Picked the White Lion having looked at Google reviews. Excellent meal not the cheapest but the meal was home cooked and tasty and really good quality.Friendly staff. Hope to visit again soon . Reserva una mesa ahora

During our stay at the Clumber Lodges, we decided to try this restaurant, and we’re so glad we did! The food was really delicious, and they offered gluten-free options, which was great for my partner.

Now that I've been back for food, I can say WOW—the food is incredible! I opted for a simple pizza, but everything else on the menu looked really special. I would 100% recommend this place!
