We had a long day of hiking King Ludwig's Way and need sustenance! We were pleased to find this venue nearby our hotel. Warm, calming atmosphere despite how many folks were seated. Our waiter was very kind and helpful. We did have to wait a...bit for our food, but it was served hot and was tasty. I enjoyed the variety of the salad bar. It was nice to linger, enjoy the atmosphere and each other!
The staff truly stands out at Sommer's restaurant: they will attend to any of your requests. As typical in Fussen, the restaurant closes on the early side (around 9pm), compared to places in more populated cities. Prices are a bit higher than other restaurants in...Fussen, but the staff, wine list, and service make the difference.

Das Buffet ist am Abend und Morgen (sonntags mit Sekt) ebenso exzellent wie das 4-Gänge-Menü. Vom Servicepersonal wurden wir sehr gut betreut und mit Namen angesprochen. Die Weinkarte ist exzellent.
