I had a disappointing experience at Sonny's BBQ, largely due to the service. My friends and I were eager to try some barbecue, but it ultimately fell short of our expectations. As a group of Chinese diners, we felt overlooked by the staff. The waiter didn’t even greet us upon our arrival, although she was quite friendly with other American customers, which seemed unfair. We just wanted to enjoy our meal, but her behavior made us feel uncomfortable. Instead of attending to us, she would sit down and watch our table when she wasn’t occupied. Based on our experience, I wouldn’t recommend this BBQ restaurant.
Sonny's BBQ was just a short walk from our hotel, the Residence Inn by Marriott. We ordered smoked wings and a grilled cheese sandwich with mac and cheese as our side. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous! The service was excellent!
The BBQ restaurant provided a great selection of dishes, alongside outstanding service and tasty food. When we informed the manager that it was a bit chilly, they quickly adjusted the temperature for us. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to eat here!
The ribs were fantastic, as always. I tried the loaded brisket for the first time, and it was excellent. They also have the best smoked wings and the finest smoked brisket around. The macaroni is amazing, too.

Visiting Sonny’s is always a wonderful choice! The barbecue is exceptional, the drinks are amazing (especially the sweet tea served on tap), the service is excellent, and the ambiance is welcoming!
I really enjoy Sonny's BBQ, though I understand that not everyone feels the same way. Even though it's a chain, each location has its own Pit Boss, which adds a unique touch to each one.

The food was good, and it took me back to my experiences in Texas. However, I think it has the potential to be even better in Dallas.
I went to the restaurant to purchase gift cards for Christmas, as I do annually. They offer wonderful food!
