Sonny's Famous Steak Hogies

I have been a loyal customer of Sonny's since I was a young girl in 1966. When John took over after his father passed away, the tradition continued seamlessly. The best part about Sonny's is that you don't have to travel to Philadelphia to enjoy the best steak hoagies; you can find them right here in Hollywood! Just imagine turning the corner and rolling your window down to smell the delicious steak cooking. The hoagies are made fresh daily at 4 am. Over the years, I have tried other items on the menu besides the steak hoagies and have always been impressed. Sonny's is a true gem in Hollywood.

Amazing hole in the wall Cheesesteak place. Been around for over 60 years and still standing. That should be all you need to know. They make their own bread, make a homemade sauce that goes on their steak subs and their prices won?t break the bank. Last time I was here was over 5 years ago and the quality and service is still top notch. Cash only, but the best stuff usually is!

I had a great experience at this restaurant. Our server was very friendly and the restaurant had a cozy small-town atmosphere. We tried the 90 with peppers and provolone, as well as a meatball sandwich with sauce and mozzarella. The steak hoagie was outstanding and one of the best I've ever had. I will definitely be coming back. Just a heads up, they only accept cash payments.

Stopped for a quick dinner since we were nearby. Had not been in quite awhile- still a cash only business but no worries because it 's still affordable. Hubby had a steak, I had a chicken cutlet and my stepson had ziti because his braces were just tightened so he wanted soft food. All of it was great! The cheese options at this restaurant are fantastic. I tried the 90 with cheese and mushrooms, and while the mushrooms seemed ordinary, everything else had a wonderful taste. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend skipping the garlic as it can be a bit overwhelming and take over the meal.

My family and I visited Sonny's restaurant and enjoyed a delicious meal. My wife, who grew up in the area, was familiar with the restaurant. The sandwiches we ordered were filled with meat, cheese, and other tasty ingredients. It was a lovely place to dine.

Sonny's in South Florida has the best steak sandwiches! My favorite is the #90, and don't forget to get the hot peppers on the side. The staff is always friendly, and it's a great spot for pick up or dine in. Just a heads up, Sonny's is cash only.
