Food took an oddly long time to come to the table with other tables arriving after us getting served first. Stuffed eggplant appetizer was delicious. Steak with gorgonzola, mashed potatoes and green beans and chicken parm were both very good standard entrees. Sangria was good. Solid food. Great patio with an awning that extends. Would go back!
Frankie, aka Frank the tank was an incredible staff member for this restaurant. Not only did he come over and put smiles on me and my girlfriend’s face but he went above and beyond to bring excellent service. This man’s on the path to greatness keep him on the staff at all costs. And the food was delicious by the way definitely coming back
One of my favorite places in Roslindale, it arguably serves the best antipasto you'll find. The ambiance is amazing and stands out from most Italian restaurants in Boston. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the drinks are delicious. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot to enjoy a meal or share drinks and appetizers with friends.
We felt like we were in a hidden Italian village right in Roslindale! The artichoke heart appetizer was absolutely perfect. The open-faced ravioli and pizza were incredible as well. Sophia's Grotto in Roslindale offers authentic Italian dishes that never disappoint. The lasagna is rich and savory, and the wine selection pairs perfectly with the meals. The outdoor patio is a lovely spot for dining on a nice evening.
Every time we come to Boston, we make it a concerted effort to visit Sophia’s grotto. The food is amazing! Service is terrific!The cocktail drinks, the sangria are also excellent!
A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere DOES NOT equal quality food. I'm tired of wasting my money and time at the expense of my taste buds because of falsely elevated reviews.
