Their Old Fashioned Cappuccino milkshake is so good that I woke up today craving it! Have you seen their menu? There are so many options for food that I try to know what I want when I go in but then I see others' dishes and I'm back at square one. It doesn't matter what diet I'm trying that day, Vegetarian, Pescatarian (Salmon burger is awesome! , or Gluten Free options, there are so many good options! Plus Sophie makes her own hot sauce (yes way! The decor is like no other; I get to give my eyes a screen-break and check out all the toys, movies and famous people on the wall...There is more than enough to keep any mind stimulated for awhile ;
The decor is still impressive. The food is not. Stopped in on our way out of town during the week for brunch, only to be disappointed. This place used to be great in 'the old days' but the bacon was obviously old ( chewy and greasy) the replacement sausage not much better. Old and odd tasting home fries, somewhat cold. Eggs were spot on. My wife and our friend ate because they were hungry. Decent coffee. The food came back to haunt us later that day.Too bad as we all have (had) fond memories of this joint.
When we got our table I was spending minutes just looking around the cafe because it was decorated so nicely! Their breakfast was pretty good, except for the hash browns, it rather looked like mashed potatoes. But in general the portion was really big and definitely worth the price! I would definitely come back the next time I'm in town! :)
Whenever I hit Vancouver, my first and favorite stop is always Sophie's. The food has always been a great comfort. Shakes, Ashura Wheat breakfast, Northern range steak and eggs.... the staff always remembers you...patrons are friendly and engaging... and if you're lucky, you can still spot Sophie perambulating about and greeting guests.

Randomly visited Sophie's with friends after we left the airport...it was a completely random choice but a great one! Good brunch/lunch spot for all different appetites or moods. Turkey club, veggie sandwich, and BLT were all awesome choices!
Awesome service! We hit the place during trivia....won a bottle of the hot sauce (very flavorful btw). Delish plentiful food...and of course the decor will keep your convo going forever. I'll def be back!
Loved the breakfasts here, endless menu options with good strong coffee. The decor is amusing with all the retro memorabilia on the walls, works well with the food and service on offer.
This is a cute and kitschy diner in Kitsilano. Super popular so get there early before it lines up, lots of breakfast options and huge portions for the price.

This restaurant has been around for ever. Always good food and lots of it, never ending breakfast and very popular with the locals
Small wait to get seated here today but it was worth it. Food was quick and tasty and service was great.
