Tonight I introduced my sister to Sora' Sora's delicious veggies of the day combo and doro tibs. We dined in today, a nice change since I usually order careyout. As always the food was wonderful and the owner and staff were amazing.This has been one of my favorite comfort food go-to locations since they opened. I especially like their Veggies of the Day combo and awaze chicken, which is delightfully spicy, for carryout. This little cafe is spotlessly clean, and well-managed. Parking is tight, but spaces turn over quickly in the side lot, plus there's additional parking behind the building.
I was in the Alexandria area and know that area very well as I use to live across the street from Sora. I was looking for restaurants and this happen to pop up as I typed in restaurants near me. So what brought me to this restaurant were the highly posted reviews. The cleanliness was impeccable. The food was extremely tasty and delicious. In fact I tried to order a second plate however the owner was busy with another customer. Sora was well deserved this 5 star review. YUM yum!
I am new to the area and heard that this unassuming place is THE secret spot for Ethiopian cuisine in Northern Virginia. I was skeptical, given the long list of other traditionally recommended restaurants. I went with friends, which I recommend given the generous shareable portions. We ordered the Yebeg Tibs and the vegetarian sampler. WOW! I was blown away! Everything was so delicious and easily fed the group. I will definitely be returning!
The food is excellent, fresh, and cooked with love. Prices are very reasonable. They always give me the best services when I visit. We usually stop there on our travels.The staff are very friendly. The place is clean. Addis, the owner is very caring person.. She is the best.Fresh and tasty. A must Ethiopian restaurant to eat at.

Everything was amazing! The owner took time to tell us about the cuisine. We’re new to the area and she talked to us for a while and gave good advice. Service was outstanding! This will be our new go-to spot for Ethiopian cuisine!
We got the vegetarian platter and the beef tips with additional sides. Everything was flavored so well, absolutely delicious, and packaged so well for delivery. Highly recommend and will be back.
Great food! We ordered the beef tibs and veggie platter, and the food was excellent! So was the service. It felt like having a home cooked meal at a loving friend's house! Loved the coffee too!
This is a gem of a place with delicious, authentic Ethiopian food. It has a friendly, homey feel with excellent service and a relaxed vibe. I highly recommend a visit here.

The food was great, portions were substantial, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive as well.
