Fish and chips, fish and chips, make me want to lick my lips... Sotos F&C's are no exception to that rule, but boy can this shop be a tease when it's a busy night. The fact you can smell and almost taste the delicious salty, crunchy goodness of battered delights while you wait 30mins for your order should be outlawed! (Worth it though . I love the light yet indulgent fish and chips here as they aren't too greasy but still feel like a treat food. The calamari and scallops are nothing special however they're non essentials. Best enjoyed on Semaphore beach at sunset, stick to the basics and these guys deliver. :
I am visiting here from Canada and some friends said they would take me to the best fish and chips place in South Australia. They weren't kidding! I just had shark (flake) and garfish for the first time, and it was, without a doubt, best i've ever tasted! Not only that, but the staff treated us like royalty, even including some prawns and calamari at no charge! They even gave us a sample of their special Greek/Aussie vinegar that was amazing! I hope i can go back and enjoy this wonderful little place again while i'm here. Highly recommended!
The only fish chips shop I will ever go to when heading to the beach. The fish chips were not oily or greasy, the batter was nice and crispy and everything was just as good as every other time I've been (too many to count! . One small complaint was a little too much salt on the chips, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a bit of a shake of the chips. Thanks guys, will be back soon!
Busy day at Semaphores Survival day event Jan 26 2019 downloaded the Zagl app as the line was out the door. The service was fast and friendly and the order was on time which was super impressive during this peak time. The chips are hand cut and there are lots of menu item's. I loved that we got complimentary tartare sauce with our order (didn't even have to ask for it) 1st time visit Reserva una mesa ahora
Had a great Good Friday at Semaphore enjoying the best fish and chips in Adelaide. Sotos, you never fail to provide the best quality of fish and chips. No matter how busy you are, your staff are alway's friendly and provide great service! Even our little dachshund Summer enjoyed a few chips! Highly recommended Sotos!
If you want the best fish and chips in Semaphore (possibly Adelaide) you have to go to Sotos! The staff are so friendly and orders are taken efficiently. Sometimes (especially in summer) wait times can get lengthy, but it's worth the wait. The chips are home-cut and crunchy!
Fantastic fish chips. Tastiest flake ever. Perfectly battered and fried. No excess oil. Chips were scrumptious, again perfectly fried and well drained. Courteous and prompt service. Thank you Sotos for making our Sunday lunch a most enjoyable one. Highest Recommendation.
