I recently ate here with a large group of friends, and I was confident that I would like it. The parking lot was full, so I parked around the corner with no problem. The gentleman who greeted us was very kind, and our waitress was very attentive. But it went downhill from there. I was going to get fish, but when a friend said she was trying to decide between the chicken and the fish, I ordered the chicken, and she ordered the fish. Instead of fish, she was given chicken, and since everyone else had been served, she decided not to return it to the kitchen for the fish. My chicken was very dry, and kind of bland. The portions are generous and you can find comfort foods including mac and cheese, fried chicken, red beans and rice, cornbread, greens, candied yams, sweet potato pie, and ice tea. Dulan's is a must-visit spot for soul food, and you can tell just by the constant line of patrons waiting to get in at any hour. I tried the two-piece chicken lunch special, which comes with a breast and thigh, but initially received wings by mistake. However, I was allowed to keep the wings while the waiter brought me the correct order. The fried chicken is perfectly seasoned—not spicy in the way that Popeyes is, but more of a buttermilk style with a hint of pepper flavor. It’s absolutely delightful. There were a good amount of people outside awaiting pick up so I had an inkling this place would be good. Service was fast- I was seated right away on a Saturday afternoon and the food came out within 15 minutes of us ordering. The food was absolutely amazing. I got the lunch special with smothered chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and beans and rice. The lunch special also came with 2 cornbread muffins and for $15, the amount of food is amazing. I was filled up and it appeared I hardly made a dent in my plate. I've been coming here for years, and this is my first review. This place is an Inglewood neighborhood favorite, now well-known throughout LA. I usually order to-go since there's often a line. They serve all the traditional soul food dishes, desserts, and drinks. My go-to order is the chicken with mac and cheese, yams, and dressing. It never disappoints, and I always leave with a full belly. Parking is available on the side, but it fills up quickly; there is also metered parking out front. Nearly forgot to take a photo of the food in our rush to eat it we grabbed Dulan's from the takeout window (really fast, not even a 15 min wait! before going to SoFi stadium, and this was such a rich and filling meal. We got smothered chicken, candied yams, and green beans with a side of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Everything was piping hot and smelled and tasted so delicious obviously super rich and filling, we could barely finish one dinner plate between two. Very worth for the price!

Food was awful (can food ordered a short rib dinner $25.00 received a large chunk of meat returned dinner explain that I received wrong choice of meat was told that the meat was a short rib I reply no a short rib has a BONE in it she said no I never heard of that, I asked where are you from she said Belize. You missed the mark today Dulan's . I ordered a veggie plate, three items. Collard greens, mac cheese, red beans, and rice. They must have scraped all the burnt edges of the Mac n cheese and put them on my plate. My red beans taste more like chili beans over rice. Why was there a chili taste??? Through my whole meal off. And I was so hungry!

I drove quite a distance and, after getting home, I realized that I didn’t receive any of the three desserts I ordered. However, the food was good.
