Phoenix has a Ukrainian restaurant! Who knew? Well, not me... until recently. Now, I'm glad to be in the know!Soup and sausage Bistro has a casual, quick serve model. It seems to be a pretty authentic Eastern European place. I could even hear customers speaking Ukrainian (or, maybe Polish . They even have small Ukrainian flags atop many of the tables. They're even available for purchase for five dollars. The service was attentive. It wasn't long after placing an order that deliciousness arrived. There's no printed menu so customers have to rely on the menu board with small print or scan a QR code on their mobile device. I ordered the Soup and Sausage Plate. Was asked if I ever had Ukrainian food by an online friend. After them saying I should try it I looked on Yelp. This place was about 30 min away. So off I went, easy location to find, very prompt service. You order at the counter. I must say I am impressed. Everything was very good. I had the pork cabbage rolls with red borche soup. Even as stuffed as I was I ended up ordering hot sausages, potato salad and cake to go in order to try these items. Highly recommend this place and the food will not disappoint

Small shop with good regional fare, eastern European, Ukrainian I'm guessing. There are a few small booths in the restaurant. Food was good at a reasonable price. I give it 5 stars because of what it is, this is not fine dining nor was it meant to be, but everything went well and the food was ready quickly, was tasty and packed well (I got take out). I can't speak to authenticity as I have not been to Ukraine but I'm guessing it is authentic I'll leave that to someone more knowledgeable on the subject.

The food was excellent!! Had the creamy mushroom soup, potato salad, honey cake, and my sister took home the borscht for her husband. The food and service was excellent. While we were there several people came in for their takeout orders. They were regulars and that says a lot.We will be going back!!!!
