this must be the slowest restaurant in Georgia. after ordering our food, we were told it will wait a 2 hours for rib tips. then we noticed that they have a complete distribution policy, so we had no choice to come back. After we had waited for 30 minutes on 3 sandwiches, pommes and so we only got the sandwiches and said that we should wait longer for the fries and drinks. there was also another man who said he had to go and come back and eat is not ready yet. we came back 2 hours later and had to wait another 40 minutes. absolutely inevitable. if they cannot order in time, properly edit, then stop taking people’s money. unethical.
I should have known that this was a bad idea when I went up and the doorbell was suspended, windows were covered with handwritten signs, and the window where you put the job so off, I could not see who took my order. I was disappointed when I eat my food at home. both boxes where our food was were dirty and greasy, as anyone else had on greasy gloves, were those who put the boxes in the pocket. our rib tips were hard to chew. definitiw overcooked! the fries tasted as if they were cooked in old fat....sweet after taste bad and brown looking. I was so disappointed and hungry that I went to Chick-fil-A as soon as I was gone.
I don't understand the good reviews that are listed here. This place was suggested by a co-worker but I was highly disappointed. My first trip and was told that the rib tips were the best. What I got was some decent rib meat with a healthy amount of gristle, fat and what I call cartilage. Might have been bone but too soft. Anyway, I will not be coming back and will get my bbq from Shanes where we have been satisfied. For the price and the actual amount of meat we got, I felt they cheated me.
my sister and I ate here for lunch and was excited because the restaurant had good reviews and the pictures seemed good. we were really disappointed. the frits tasted as if they were cooked in old fat and had a bad after taste and the rib tips were hard to chew. the box was covered with food decorations. I am there #1 fan! I love this place. I'm from Chicago but have lived in the south for 20 years and this place brings me home. I'd live off the Italian beef if I could. What's great is I've been going so much since I found this place last month they know my order once I get to the window! The people working there are fantastic!
I got the small ribtips old school (on fries). The meat was great and the BBQ sauce was good too. The the portions were really good and the meal was pretty inexpensive. I made it back to my hotel before I noticed the coleslaw I ordered wasn't in the bag.The staff were very nice.
My go to rib tips with a link, takes me back to Chicago Everytime. If you ever been on the Southside of Chicago and remember Leon's and want that taste, this is your spot, and with a Maxwell polish, is a little taste of Chicago I'll never miss now thanks to this place.
