Given my last review of this restaurant and since then I'm sure it's changed hands, I'm not sure why the new owners don't ditch the Alexanders title completely and only run with their new name: being 'The Vault'. Food and experience were totally different and all for the better. I'm not going to go on too long suffice it to say the service was great and the food beautiful. I enjoyed a succulent steak cooked perfectly and my wife loved her prawn linguini. The sides of a garden salad and sweet potato chips likewise delicious. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Alexander's last night. We traveled from the city to Williamstown for a unique and enjoyable Valentine's Day experience. The decor was charming and had a historical charm to it, with locals mentioning that the building used to be a famous bank in Melbourne. I went to Alexanders Williamstown with my family including two little children both are good eaters only when there are right food on the table. I ordered food they normally like and hoped this lunch could go smoothly. When the food for them was ready, I had a try and relaxed as it was very nice that they would definitely enjoy. The dish we all loved the most was the creamy garlic prawn platter which had the perfect combination of the natural beauty of the prawn itself and the human touch with cream and garlic to boost the flavor. Our main courses arrived later, with my partner ordering steak with root vegetables and a generous amount of sauce, along with a creatively decorated potato. My crispy skinned salmon dish was on the smaller side, featuring a small piece of salmon on diced potatoes with cherry tomatoes around the plate. While it looked like an entree, it tasted good. As more customers arrived, it seemed like the restaurant was struggling to keep up. One table had a delayed service where one person received their meal before the others. Well, we went here for new years eve and was greeted with a FULL house which was expected. We had to wait about 5-7 mins but was absolutely worth it. My family (of 5) all love seafood and so we ordered the seafood platter to share and was so good we ordered another one! After our delicious entrees, we had mains which were linguine, garlic prawns, steak, the whole lot. We did have to wait longer than usual as there was a line outside and a full house before we sat down. Everything we had was full of flavour, portion sizes were perfect. We had dessert even though we were all so full ! 100% would recommend!! Hidden gem!!

We came to Alexanders for dinner on last Sunday. It's the first time we have been there. The chill and rain made us walk in the restaurant. They were kind of quiet when we arrived. Only a few tables. We were hesitated to stay. Lucky it ended up a really enjoyable night for us. The oyster platter for $30 on special was a great deal. And their garlic prawn was generously sized and very delicious. My partner loved the vegetarian tofu steak.The waiters were being attentive and friendly. It seems that they were keen to get feedback on their food and service. It's very enjoyable experience for us.

i went into Alexanders for dinner, on the weekend and it was lovely the food was fantastic nice portion sizes and great flavours, the oysters were amazing , the staff that attended us that evening were fantastic very friendly and attentive they were very kind to my children as well overall we had a fantastic experience and will definitely coming back

Delicious take away souva or sit down in their dog friendly court yard. My dogs loved it with lots of space and a huge umbrella to block the leaves and bugs! Had a lamb souva and my friend had a vegetarian souva which was both delicious! Reserva una mesa ahora

Not a bad place to eat, found my souva to be mainly filled with lettuce. Still yummy. The churros are delicious! Nice to sit in the little courtyard.

Mediocre food and lost order, food cold and rice hard and unable to eat, noticed other patrons sent back meals not impressed
