This was my second visit to Spiaggia. I came on Valentine's Day 2020 with my boyfriend. We had reservations at 9:15pm and were seated around 9:45pm, which did not bother us. I received a call from Spiaggia two days prior to our reservation to report any food allergies or dietary restrictions. I let them know that my boyfriend is allergic to tree nuts. Upon arrival, our waiter had to ask about any food allergies or dietary restrictions and did not seem aware of the previously reported tree nut allergy. We braved the pandemic and went to Spiaggia for special dinner to celebrate my birthday. We were seated by the window as originally requested where we had the view of the Michigan Avenue and the small park across the street. We noticed all the extra precaution to make sure that we were safe. All people working have their masks and gloves on. We were also required to wear mask everytime the servers came to serve us. We did the tasting menu which includes 6 courses. Everything were great! The food were so tasty and there's so much variety on each course. My boyfriend, our friend, and I came here to celebrate their graduation from nursing school and our experience was absolutely incredible! The food was out of this world and the service was amazing! Our server was great and Alexa, who came to set the table and fill our waters, was one of the nicest people we have ever met and she made our experience that much better. My first tasting menu experience, and it was incredible! The staff was extremely accommodating and ensured they were extremely safe: . I felt comfortable enjoying a dinner out during these times. The food. Incredible. We did the 6 course experience with the wine pairing and I was just blown away. They took us through Italy and provided us such incredible information that could be applied to someone like me with not such an experienced palette. The risotto and lamb were truly savory. The earthy wine that was paired with the risotto was one of my favorites. I forgot to take a picture but the two style of calamari were also just melting in my mouth. An experience I'll never forget:

Spiaggia is absolutely amazing!! We went here after I proposed to my boyfriend and they pulled out the red carpet for us. The service was impeccable. All the restaurant staff greeted us and all congratulated us on the recent proposal. The attention to detail and the amount of care that went into making us feel special is something we will remember forever. We are HUGE foodies and Spiaggia did not disappoint. The different layers of flavors each dish had was otherworldly. I cannot wait to go back!
Amazing service and amazing rotating tasting menu. Chef Eric is wonderful. You can order a la carte, but if you aren't a picky eater then I highly recommend the tasting menu and just going with the flow. They do have a wine pairing, although it's a little pricey so we typically get a bottle (or 2) for us. I typically stay away from Michigan ave as it's usually touristy and overpriced, but this place is worth it. Swanky vibe and there's a small view of the lake while it's still light out.
I love real Italian hand made pasta : real classy , sophisticated restaurant: great view on Michigan Ave , Lakeshore drive and Historical view of the Drake Hotel !!! Very romantic place to celebrate anniversary! Went there for lunch and dinner , during the evenings I think it's more romantic!
This was the first time we have dined at Cafe Spiaggia and we will be back! The food, wine, staff and casual classy ambience made this a very enjoyable visit! Thank you!

Glad I opted for the tasting menu. Each dish hit. No complaints whatsoever. Service was very friendly.
You can tell the staff works very hard to give you the ultimate experience!
