I first had Nepalese food at Jojolopa in Birmingham, and now whenever I go to Birmingham that's the restaurant I head for. I next had Nepalese food in York, so I was delighted to discover that King's Lynn has a Nepalese restaurant. To be honest,...the menu only has a few items of genuine Nepalese food on it, the most of it being straightforward Indian, but I urge you to ask for the Nepalese items. The establishment is modest in size and does well to keep within the bounds of achievability. It does this by cooking everything fresh as ordered. The aim is not to have buckets of sauces and half cooled chicken/lamb etc hanging around on the off chance that someone will sooner or later ask for it. This was evidenced by having the moistest Tandoor cooked chicken I have ever had. Whenever in the past I've had Tandoor chicken it has been easy but dry, but this was so freshly cooked that it was a mouthful away from a cluck. Nepalese cuisine is distinct in character in that there are subtleties of flavours that I can only compare to how Thai food is compared to Chinese
