This is the second time I have bought a takeaway from this restaurant in 3 years. 3 years ago I swore blind that I would never go back as the curry I had 3 years ago was bland and the chicken tough and stringy. Decided to give them one more go this evening (three years later and went for a vindaloo with Pilau rice. The Pilau rice was half decent but the vindaloo bordered on inedible the chicken was stringy and chewy and the sauce was pretty much more akin to a Rogan Josh. The menu described the vindaloo as very hot but, in reality, it was mild at best ....... very disappointed..... my main concern was the chicken, what on earth are they doing with it to make it so tough and stringy? I can ap...
We are regular customers of this restaurant both sit in and takeout. Tonight, after picking up my takeout and driving home( I live a few miles out of town) we discovered that my husbands Balti was missing and he had been given a Pallak, I called to tell them and was told that was what I ordered, very blunt, no apology, no offer of a replacement or recompense. I hadn’t even heard of a Pallak and my husband hates spinach, no ordering mistake was made by me. My husband ended up with no curry as he couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed with the complete lack of customer service. In this regard this restaurant has clearly gone down hill.
Great service and really good food! We had popadoms and pickle which arrived promptly together with 2 cold beers. Then an onion bhajee to share. For our main course we had a chicken dhansak and a chicken chasni both very tasty. Less than 50 GBP fot the two of us which I don’t think was too bad. We’ll come again!
Great Indian food! I tried the house special chicken tikka starter which was great and then the Mirchi Kurma (asked for extra hot) curry which was brilliant. Sides and drinks were good too and prompt service. Close to a 5/5 but the premises let’s it down as it looks and smells old and damp

Coming from PERU, I definitely know about excellent food and this restaurant has great good.....!! My husband and I have visited more than 50 Indian restaurants and this is the best of all of them...!!!! And today celebrating our honeymoon we had the best dinner...!!TH
Refreshing and delicious change from the usual lovely Scottish offerings. Comprehensive and very tasty menu set in a crisp and colourful restaurant with attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommend for style, flavour and excellent value.
A decent spot for indian. We found most of the curries to be on the sweet side, even though the descriptions did not say that (many did). The naan, rice and appetizers were all good.
This spot is great for family tea some of the best chicken and lam I have ever had and great service would definitely recommend

Didnt expext to find an Indian restaurant in the north. But, we just we enjoyed our best indian food ever. Thanks to the host.
Do not be put off by location or frontage. This place is amazing
