Trying to find a dinner venue close to the house we've rented for the weekend has been a challenge, but a good pub meal always suffices and sometimes more than suffices. Not so in this case. I will say firstly that the service was great and the staff accommodating without fault, even when I had to return my meal and leave with an empty stomach for lack of alternatives. The menu is sparse and a steak $13.00 more than the other standard pub fare which starts at $21.00 for a schnitzel with chips and salad. Went there on Sunday night with family for dinner. Beautiful location with wonderful views of the bay, looks like the perfect place to eat out on a warm sunny day to eat fresh local see food. Unfortunately it's not. The hotel itself is rundown and filthy. In desperate need of an update, paint and new carpets or atleast a good clean (especially the toilets). Can't complain about the service as there wasn't any which was surprising as there was only a few people in dining (should of been a warning). Lovely little township with several eating places. The pub meal was overpriced but quite edible. Service was reasonable and the house wine was good compared to others. Views across Port Phillip are great. Menu is sad and needs a review, not a lot of choices. Overall a visit to the township is worthwhile.
Can't write a great review as this place is a huge disappointment. Frequented by a handful of locals who are trying hard to keep pub running. Managers are not customer friendly and staff are rude. If the manager doesn't like a customer he manhandles out the door.

This unprepossessing building, albeit in a beautiful location was a complete surprise in the food department! While the dining room was rather down at heel, the meals we had were simply delicious.
By all accounts I found the food to be of a very good standard for a pub. It was very busy and we had to wait a while but when the pasta came it was very tasty and of a great standard.
Had chips and garlic bread nothing there foe a vegetarian. not a good atmosphere tired and run down. good spot though across from pier and not to bad $$ wise.
Food improved markedly since new chef started. Weekly special board and great overall range for every taste. Meals arrived promptly and staff are friendly.

Fantastic view of the water front, but the Hotel needs a massive makeover. Meals were eatable but not worth the prices. LONG overdue...
A Starbucks coffee shop is fairly consistent wherever you areI did find this particular one pretty comfortable though.
