Mandy, the co-owner of Stamp, is an exceptional baker who creates incredible Afternoon Teas that are worth traveling for. Stamp is a small post office/café with just 6 tables, so reservations are necessary, especially if you are in the Ashover Parish area. Afternoon tea services had paused during lockdowns but are now starting up again by reservation only. Be sure to bring a Tupperware container to take home any leftovers! The venue can accommodate up to 8 friends and allows you to bring your own alcohol for special occasions. I decided to head out for breakfast on a beautiful sunny morning and, after reading great reviews, chose to visit the charming village of Ashover. We didn't have a reservation but were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff and given a choice of tables. We both ordered a pot of tea along with poached eggs on toast with a side of bacon. The dishes were beautifully presented, with perfectly cooked poached eggs, delicious bacon, and granary toast. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming, and I would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back, perhaps to try their lunch menu or indulge in one of their enticing scones or cakes that all looked amazing!
Phoned up on Thurs 29th Sept at Noon to book Sat 1st Oct at 11am for breakfast, told that we didn't need to book by the female member of staff.. Turned up at 11am on 1st as planned and told they were too busy. Totally unhelpful, never even tried to accommodate us. Could've tried to squeeze us in or suggest coming back a little later, but left us high and dry. Totally pissed off as it's my husbands 50th birthday and wanted something nice with the family. Not local so pretty put out by this, but the owner wasn't too bothered. Shame as this place was recommended. This was totally their fault. I wouldn't recommend.
Highly recommended for breakfast. We stopped off here for breakfast which was delicious. The owner was so friendly and talked us through a few nice walks around the area. We did one, which was a walk up a hill and back for stunning views and then came back for cake. Bit of Guinness cake on st Patrick’s Day. Then he went and got us a printed walk around Ashover which was a really nice touch. Food matched the service.

We stopped by for breakfast, my husband ordered the full English breakfast and loved it. It was great value for money and he said it was one of the best breakfasts he has ever had! I had the granola pot which was delicious, with plenty of fresh fruit and yogurt. The coffee was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.
Best breakfast pancakes around!!! Beautiful coffees and cakes. Everything is so tasty. The staff there are wonderfull too. I have seen them go to great lengths to accommodate customers. Really polite and helpful. I have been many times and will return many times too. Well done The Stamp and all the staff.
A lovely place to visit a cuppa and slice of cake or a nice light meal with friends. The owner and staff are friendly, always accommodating and always have a smile to offer. The Stamp is an asset to the Ashover community.
We dropped in for lunch as our midway point on a walk; staff were very welcoming and accommodating about the food, which was freshly cooked and delicious. Lovely cakes and coffee too. Will definitely return.

Beautiful The stamp is perfect for meetings, breakfast and lunch Sometimes gets busy ...which means it's popular. If you can't get a table just return another day it's worth it
Called in for lunch after a dog walk (love how dog friendly the place is). Delicious food and really good coffee great value for money.
