Stanmore Fish & Chips

Cruising down the back of Stanmore and passing an old ,but neglected favorite since my last review with the new owners , so decided to dropped in and see if it had improved all these years on . To my surprise the front of the...building had been renovated and the same with a partial interior spruce to suit some ones idea of what a fish and chip shop looks like modern reminds me of a cake shop in some respects done in this case by the previous owners whom lasted I was told 8 months after the original owner had been there 30+ years and on to new owner number 3 . HAND CUT CHIPS!!! Been have been coming back for years, on the day when the old Greek guy and his wife owned it. I still come here occasionally after the new owners have taken over and still love them. Doctor doesn't say... to eat more roasted food, but I can't help him Great Hamburger, amazing fish burgers and their old school hand cut chips are the best in Sydney. The couple that owns it is always very polite and has done a good job to keep it old school!

We love this local spot for fish and chips. The fish is perfectly cooked and not greasy, and the chips are the best. Highly recommend trying it out!

They dropped chips on the floor right in front of me and then put them in my pocket. The guy thought I didn't see it.
