I went to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday and ordered pad Thai, raw beef salad, and sticky rice. I really enjoyed the raw beef salad for only $9 and the pad Thai for $9. The total bill came to $21, including the $3 sticky rice. It was a great deal for a satisfying meal with delicious food. The service was average, but the food made up for it. It's about a 30-minute drive from where I live, but I always make the trip for their tasty Thai dishes. I recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.
I live near this restaurant and I go there every fortnight or so because their food is definitely tasty and value for money <br/ I definitely recommend trying their of tongue, spring roll, tiger tears and crispy pork belly. I wasn't a big fan of their crab friend rice. Their curries are also nicely done <br/ <br/ They've recently renovated the place so points for ambience has definitely increased from 2/10 to 7/10<br/ <br/ Staff are also very friendly. Would definitely recommend trying this place!
Star Laos Thai Restaurant has recently undergone a renovation, giving it a fresh and modern look with new furniture. However, only locals are likely to be familiar with this hidden gem, as it is not located in a touristy area. The menu offers a mix of delicious Laos, Vietnamese, and Thai dishes, including options like duck and seafood. After reading several reviews, I entered the restaurant with an open mind and was pleasantly surprised by the simple yet welcoming atmosphere.
Awesome Lao/Thai food. As we had a large group we ordered the works- raw beef salad, raw prawn salad, papaya salad, fish cakes, satay skewers, Laos sausage, grilled ox tongue, Tom yum goong, chicken pad Thai, Thai fried rice and grilled fish! Every single one of these dishes was delicious!! Brilliant foodThere seemed to only be 2 waiters and a busy restaurant so service was a little slow.Def come back!

I used to love this restaurant till last year (2015) when I noticed the diferrence in quality. I'm pretty sure they've changed management since. My recent visit: ordered a pad Thai (takeaway) it tastes and looked like mee goreng (see the pic below). Dissapointed !!! They should really changed the name of the business as the food doesn't taste like Thai or Laos food!!!
Had takeaway on first night after returning from European trip. The food was amazing. The soft shell crab is to die for, so delicious I didn't want to share. Husband had the duck which was mouth watering and my son and his family had a dinner meal each. Highly recommend the food. You will be amazed.
Great service, the food is always fresh and tasty, cooked in perfect time and serving size is just right. Theres a lot to choose from on the menu. Our favourite on the menu is the Fried Rice chicken. I would like to see the Fried...More
The total cost was just $37 for 4 large portions of food, which is incredibly affordable. While the meal may not have been outstanding, we were satisfied with our hearty feast.

We've eaten here a few times and we've always been pretty happy with it. Not the best Thai/Lao I've ever had but it's does deliver.
No fancy bells and whistles but good food at a great price what more would you want? Great service too.
