Stopped by after reading the menu and it having all of our favorites. We ordered the fried pickles and fried cheese curds as a starter. The fried pickles were up there with the best I've had. The cheese curds were really good but the batter was a little greasy. I'm assuming from sitting in the basket over the grease a little to long. My cheeseburger was really good and so fresh along with the food from the rest of my party. My burger was cooked fully but still very juicy per the smash burger style. Was excited about trying someplace new to us. Food was average, could have been better seasoned. Had the Fish n chips and the fried chicken. Our server was good, attentive, and accommodating, communicated well. The problem that I had was the attitude and energy of the other waitress there. Shortly after sitting, she went off on an elderly woman, berating her about something of a disagreement that must have happened before we sat down. However the lack of professionalism and the rudeness of the waitress was very disgusting. This wasn’t my first time dining at State Central, but it was the first time I remembered to snap a photo. I only managed to capture my sandwich since I was catching up with friends and focused more on the company and conversation. The food here is fantastic—I’ve never had a single dish I didn’t enjoy. In fact, I want to try everything on the menu! This charming, small local spot offers amazing food and a great selection of drinks, making it ideal for stopping by after work or on weekends to meet up with friends. Just be patient with parking—it’s located in a residential area without any big parking garages. But I promise, once you find a spot, you’ll be glad you came for the delicious food!

Stopped by for lunch to try the fried pickles and cheese curds. Both were amazing as well as the rest of the food we ordered. The portions were too large (we could have shared an order of fries instead of getting them with each entree) to finish but thefood was great quality and we will be stopping by again the next time we are in the area.
Charming neighborhood spot in Olympia. We dined outside on a lovely Pacific Northwest Sunday morning. The homemade gravy was delightful. I ordered the chicken and waffles; the chicken batter was perfectly seasoned, and the waffles were nice and crispy.
Very good service and good food. Hard location to park at. Not slow at all. I always get the fried pickles and boneless chicken wings ????
