beautiful tea room with a wonderful owner who could not have been nicer or more welcoming. Ignore all the bad reviews , we sat in with two other sets of guests and everyone was happy. This lady is so warm and made us feel so welcome . I’ve had a lot of afternoon teas and this was the best one to date. Proper cakes (so many offer those weird wet trifle pots) We eat a lot as a family but we were full up, really generous portions and a lot of sandwiches. I meant to take photos at the start but we were so hungry I forgot. The scones were so crumbly and light. Beautiful place and off the beaten track. We parked around the corner by a school free.

We were told the day before our booking that we would only be able to stay for 1 hour 20 as they had a big booking after us. I personally feel the bookings should not have been made so close together. We felt rushed and had to wait quite a while for our food. The food was nice and the young lady serving us was lovely, but the lady in charge was rude and abrupt. Also the table cloth was dirty, the candle holder was covered in dust and everything looked a bit tired.

This was an afternoon-tea voucher we were given for Christmas and loved it here. !940s ambience with Glenn Miller playing and all the food was excellent. We willvisit again soon under our own 'Steam ' ; (Only downside maybe is that the place is upstairs and feel they could be missing a trick here if they could make access easier for the elderly

Tea was lovely food excellent but we felt very rushed and lady seemed rude and we were asked to leave as our time was up disappointing

Wow can’t believe how rude they are. No other words really. Just avoid unless you’re looking to be treated badly!
