Been numerous times on my travels up and down the A1. But the last visit was disappointing . The quality of the food wasn't as good as previous visits, and although it was an ample portion, I would have preferred a smaller portion....of better quality The ladies toilets weren't great either, no soap in the dispenser and they looked like they needed a good clean. The whole place looks tired and in need of a little bit of TLC, shame really
Stopped for a cuppa and 'sugar fix ' 2 hours into our drive to the Lakes. Very welcome, as I was whacked after a broken night (husband was driving). Used this great place many times when our disabled son was at college near Mansfield and we were either visiting him for the day or taking him back/home. It 's still (5 years after our last visit) as accessible, welcoming and good value for money as it was then, I 'm very glad to say.
The opening hours are good, the staff are friendly, and they will go out of their way to help. There aren't many dining places around here. So it is nice to have here, I gave it a rating due to the price. I come here often though. It can be a nice place to socialize for people traveling from other parts of the country, or from local areas.
The cafe at Stibbington is our favoured stopping off point on our way down the A1 from North Yorkshire to the south. It’s ages since we came this way and it was nice to find that it was as good as ever. Friendly service, mugs of tea and a great menu of traditional British cafe grub. Perfect in every way. It’s probably been three years since our travels took us past the Stibbington Diner. I don’t know if it’s a sign of the times, but it was surprisingly quiet when we were in. The service and food however were as good as ever and this remains our “go to” stop off point on our way south.
Another great freshly cooked breakfast however let down by cleaning of tables again. Live the good. Understand when busy but there are lulls so tables could be wiped down. Apparently gents a bit smelly too
Food was good, my mate loved his full English. The place could do with a lick of paint, but good value for money. I spotted other people having the main menu sort of lunches, and the portions looked good.
Stopped here to have a cup of tea and use toilets, impressed with both. Fast and friendly service, clean toilets. It was a quiet time, don’t know what it would be like at a busy time. Reserva una mesa ahora
A nice place to stop, in my view a nicer experience than a commercial group service area. Worth trying- we will return on our next journey south
