stick steam is a good little place to get a few dimm sum, bark noodles, baked rice, or hainan chicken rice, all in a restaurant. eating is good, but not as good as the restaurants that specialize in the individual genre. that said it fulfills the different demands of our family. the food came out quickly, the service was pleasant, and especially the food was good enough to come back. while I personally would not go out of my way here if they are in the millbrae area and want to try to eat good Chinese comfort, this place is worth a try. another thing that everyone shaves about the salted lizards, but I thought they were just in order. now the sea bass.....this is a little too rave over.
I really want to like this place but it's a letdown unfortunately. This place attracted its customers (including me) because it's rumored to be associated with the owner of Koi Palace. Tired of hamburgers I was looking for something tasty and I looked up this restaurant on Google. Oh surprise!!! The food that I ordered was very tasty, I hot the specialty; Hainan Rice&Chicken. I tried this dish in San Jose and it is actually very good here. Definitely I'll comeback. I almost forget to take pictures but I has half way done when I remember.

The overall experience was okay. The Hainan Chicken Rice with Scallion Sauce was somewhat disappointing as I could taste the low-quality oil used in the dish. I hope they consider using a higher-quality oil in the future and perhaps serving it with a side of soup.
The food at the restaurant was delicious overall, but we were disappointed by the mushy texture of the Cucumber with Garlic Sauce. It lacked the desired crunchiness that we have experienced at other dining establishments.

The food at this restaurant is excellent overall. I highly recommend trying the spicy chicken, as it is very tender and bursting with flavor.
