Had dinner there last night mixed results. The standard pub fare was fine schnitzel, burgers chips and although we didn 't have any of the pizzas they looked great. But I fell into the trap of ordering fancy and this wasn 't so good. Whilst waiting for final dinner companions sweet BBQ wings always go well with hungry kids? Wrong. The orange coloured ? sauce was extremely sharp tangy so of course the kids refused to eat it nor did I like it either , even though the chicken was cooked perfectly. $22. First of all, a big that you to the delightful Tom who helped make our anniversary a memorable evening, with not only his charisma, but his extensive knowledge of the food and more importantly the wine. Hubby and I had the 6 course degustation menu, with the recommendation of the following courses: 1. Scotch egg 2. Haloumi 3. Pork Belly 4. Beef Cheeks 5. Cheese Board 6. Creme Caramel The single surprise of handmade chocolate truffles at the end of the evening was a beautiful touch. My husband didn't stop raving about the whole night, on our 1hr 20min drive home to Victor Harbor... So it's left a lasting impression. We will definitely be back! Absolutely amazing!
Thank you to The Grill team, who delivering on every level that we asked, for our family dinner, Thursday night for hubby Dan's 60th Birthday. Beautiful appointed and relaxed ambience at the bar, dining area and joining lounge room. Welcoming, helpful, efficient and pleasant front of house staff. Beautiful ample sized meals, serving to our large group in a timely manner, all hot and appetising. Gorgeous Chocolate Hazelnut Birthday cake and good coffee completed the meal. Thank you, we enjoyed our dinner and experience with you. It's certainly is the place to keep going back to.
my man and I were on a Friday night regular for their roast. great value and the servings were huge. many of our friends. the last time we left, it was early juli before we left. we returned on Friday night to find out that the price had risen by $6 and the roast came with bok choy and pure pumpkin. when do you get bok choy with a roast? not sure who the format of roasted pumpkin, kartoffeln, bohnen, spargel, carrots and roasted beet root with a generous meat transmitter in the current format, which is extremely disappointing. will not return for the roast. I want to extend my heartfelt compliments to all the employees! I had a fantastic time dancing and enjoying the atmosphere on Saturday night. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish! Not only was our meal delicious, but we also greatly appreciated the attentive service from the staff, who made sure we were satisfied throughout our meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!
The last time we visited, the DJ played some great old-school music, and so many people got up to dance. This year, it's our last Christmas party, and all we wanted was to enjoy some good tunes and dance, but that didn't happen. It's really disappointing and sad to see no one dancing. For a Friday night, it was quite lackluster.
