A M A Z I N G!!!. I live in Berkeley Heights, but work in Manhattan, so I often eat in some of the best restaurants in the area. I was just at every Italian restaurant in NJ and NY and nothing compares with Strega. The dishes are prepared with an authenticity that can not be pampered elsewhere with its fancy aromas and a beautiful presentation. I've taken friends and clients here many times, and I've been all over the food. The fact that it is BYO adds a beautiful touch to the traditional Italian feeling, while the atmosphere connects in a modern Manhattan Lounge Vibe. Just amazing!!
eat waw so good aw I have been for years, especially the calves and squigele (sp, which were both extremely tender. service was not so attentive (i.e. for pfeffer mill, renewing the bread basket, additional drinks, etc., as expected for eating in this price class. overall very good. I will return with joy!
Very good food, menu is more extensive than our last visit. I would appreciate more gluten free options. Also option of tap water rather than only bottled. There was a large noisy party but it was not overly disturbing. Overall very good, will definitely return.
The dining experience was fantastic, and the specialties are always impressive! Alex and the team provide excellent service in the front of the house!

What upset me most was the $6 bottle of water that was just cracked open and poured without asking us or telling us there was a charge!
