The Submarine sandwiches here are not made fairly at all. I was so concerned about this that I reached out to a friend in Ohio who works for Subway to ask about portion sizes, and it turns out they’re definitely underserving at this location! I find myself constantly asking for more, only to be met with disapproving looks. If this were a $5 footlong, I’d keep quiet, but it’s not! The food portions were a bit smaller than expected. On a positive note, the staff was polite and friendly. The atmosphere was typical for a Subway restaurant. However, the main issue lay with the ownership. I was clearly visible to both owners when they arrived that morning, and neither of them acknowledged me; instead, they looked at me with apparent disdain. I overheard the female owner asking an employee if I had made a purchase, which I had. When the male owner left and then came back, I had already made a second purchase. There were small gnats on and around the vegetables that are used to put on customer sandwiches. I brought this to the servers’ attention because they appeared to be unaware of this or they just choose to ignore this. It wasn’t just one gnat. There were several gnats crawling around the food. The gnats were on the vegetables and around the tin containers that stored the vegetables. This was really disgusting.

I agree with Nicole's review - Sarah is a fantastic sandwich artist! I have been coming to this Subway for six years now, and it is still the best one in the DMV area. The ingredients are always fresh. Sadly, I will be moving soon and will have to find a new Subway to visit. Sarah and the other employees before her have been great.

Sarah is the best!! My roommate and I love when she’s working cause she always makes the sandwich perfect, she’s a sandwich making genius. And so nice. Give her a raise. She’s literally the reason we go so often.
The service was incredibly quick, as I placed my order using the mobile app. The restaurant is conveniently located within walking distance, so my food was ready for me by the time I arrived.
