"We reserved and came on Saturday night, sitting outside was a little cool. The food was good, the service was nice. Oyakodon was soft, juicy and tasty. Grilled Calamari Steak is very good. We also tried a few slides, all were good."

I was really excited to eat here, b/c I tried to find a Japanese restaurant in the Bay Area that served chicken skin Yakitori since I had some really great in NYC. In 5 years keeping my eyes open, this was the first restaurant I heard, so I was very excited to go. The restaurant was a little difficult to find with the labyrinth of one road and the fact that Plaza Central is actually just a parking lot. I would suggest calling the restaurant and getting directions, b/c I think the ones we got through Google Maps were wrong. the restaurant is very sweet inside – it is very small and intimate, and I liked how the front part of the restaurant was all the bench – I felt like we had plenty of room...

Actually, there were 3.5 stars, but that's not allowed. Had been trying to try a Japanese Yakitori place for a while, but never got around. It is located in downtown Los Altos with some confusing direction and as a side note, Downtown Los Altos is absolutely creepy dead on Sunday nights. Restaurant is small as many Japanese restaurants and very nicely decorated. It would be a good place to go for a small group of friends or couples. Not sure where they can actually deal with large groups or even with them. I found the food pretty good, but expensive for what you get. I would come back here in the future as I wasn't from many yakitori places and it was beautiful. Only it would not be a regula...

Everything tasted quite authentic. The menu has a lot of variety. The tempura was good with some interesting vegetable choices, such as Brussels shoots, which are usually not in these dishes. Skewers were great, especially chicken with scalion and beef. You also have a beautiful house salad.

Here for lunch and with the Bento. The Oyako Don and the Teriyaki Special also tried. The food was okay and the organic chicken was good friend in the Bengo, but it was nothing special. Service was average, but not very good. I want to try this place again for dinner instead of lunch.
