I have to say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had for many reasons. Firstly, the food was truly unreal. The BBQ is delicious and the huge selection of sides was unreal. But more than anything, the staff were what made it for us. Weexplained we were newer to the style of cuisine, and instead of being annoyed with us, the staff flew into action, explainingthe menu, then each dish as it came or was put on the grill. We had six people in our party, but the amount of salad and other dishes they provided was barely enough for two. I didn’t even get a chance to try the salad. To make matters worse, the waiter accidentally spilled water all over my husband and son, who were dressed in new suits, and there was no apology at all.

Their LA galbi was tasty and Yookgyejang ??? was pretty authentic taste. I forgot to take a picture of Naengmyun. I like the broth in naengmyun too. I went many Korean restaurants in Queens and NJ, this place is one of the most authentic and tastyrestaurants. And all the servers are pretty kind and not rude or rush you to finish your meal. I like their side dishes as well.You won’t regret to try dining there! Price is little bit pricier than common casual restaurant.

This restaurant serves outstanding kalbi and samgyeopsal, providing an authentic Korean BBQ experience. If you're Korean or have lived in Korea, you'll feel completely at home here. The negative reviews seem to come from those expecting a more American-style restaurant, which this is not. However, if you're a fan of genuine KBBQ, this is the place for you.
The first time that EVER authentic Korean, very friendly and patient staff explained everything I needed to know and made our food experience a pleasant one. I know now what to order and what not to order! A party of 5, we all ordered something else and we were satisfied
Very happy we gave Sung Book Dong another chance. The food is delicious. The 2 women working the entire place were so hard working and helpful. The amount of ban Chan they give you is incredible. They also updated their vent hoods. We highly recommend.
They have a combo menu perfect for solo diners like me! Haha! The tofu sundubu and the pork BBQ are absolutely amazing!!! And don't forget the Japchae—it was a huge portion too!
