I was really pleased with the food! The Chicken with Portuguese sauce was packed with a variety of vegetables and had a coconut curry-like gravy. The chicken was tender, and the broccoli and carrots were perfectly al dente. I had ordered it with egg fried rice, but received plain white rice instead; however, it was still delicious. The minced beef with egg rice featured a classic HK-style Bolognese sauce, which was also quite tasty. The milk tea had a nice, strong tea flavor. Everything was packaged securely and neatly, and I appreciated that the drinks were wrapped separately to prevent any accidental mixing with the entrees. I would definitely order from them again!
I was born and raised in Hong Kong for 20 years, and I'm a huge fan of HK cafes. I tried the B01: Baked Pork Chop with Cheese Tomato Sauce, and while it had good flavor, the rice and meat were moist instead of the dry and crispy texture I expected. The B09: Chicken with Portuguese Sauce was similarly not dry or crispy and had a lighter taste rather than a strong flavor. Unless someone informs me that they've made improvements, I probably won’t return. There are other places that may not taste as authentic, but they offer better texture and flavor. It seems they might have prioritized speed over quality.
This place is amazing and truly authentic to Hong Kong! I've been ordering regularly, and it makes me nostalgic for Hong Kong. My favorites include the spaghetti B20 with Bolognese sauce baked with cheese (a MUST TRY – absolutely delicious, especially with an egg on top!), French toast, chicken wings, pan-fried rice rolls, cuttlefish balls, hot milk tea, and iced lemon tea. I'm really impressed with how the crispiness of the wings holds up even after being packed for takeout. I hope this business continues to thrive because their quality is the best on the peninsula!
This place has some ofthr most most authentic HK cafe style food in the bay. Love Bolognese Sauce Baked with Cheese; the sauce is creamy and not too tart. The Sweet Condensed Milk Peanut Butter Toast solid. Nothing fancy but it apos;s the spot as a desert.
