During my visit to this Mexican cantina, I discovered a lively and inviting atmosphere, particularly since we opted to sit outside. Although there was only one staff member attending to the patio, the service was friendly, albeit a bit slow. I enjoyed the Horchata we ordered, especially with the benefit of free refills. The 3-item combo featuring enchiladas, tamales, and tacos was quite impressive overall. The portion sizes were reasonable for the price, though I found the tamale dough to be slightly thicker than anticipated. While the meat could have used a bit more flavor, it was still satisfactory.
Finding a good Mexican restaurant in Irvine can be a challenge, so I'm really glad I stumbled upon this place. I recently visited Super Mex and enjoyed delicious, high-quality Mexican food at a great price. The restaurant features a spacious outdoor seating area, perfect for families and compliant with Covid safety measures. The staff were friendly and attentive. I had a fish taco and a chicken enchilada for just $15—such an excellent value!
The food here is excellent; I highly recommend the fajitas and Carne Asada nachos. There is ample seating available, and takeout options are offered. The chips and salsa are fantastic, too. Additionally, there's plenty of parking, including several handicap spots.

The servers were fantastic! We enjoyed the shredded beef tacos, guacamole, enchiladas, and taquitos—everything was incredibly delicious! You feel warmly welcomed at Ysidro, with wonderful food and excellent service!
We usually order our food to go. The salsa is excellent, and we love using their large chips to make homemade tostadas. We're regular customers and highly recommend this place for delicious Mexican cuisine.
