I decided to visit this restaurant after being recommended by a friend who brought over a box of their samosas. Some days, when you don't feel like cooking, it's nice to be able to order a thali platter to take home. While there is seating for those who want to dine in, this place is also popular for take-out orders, with lines of people coming in to grab sweets or pick up their food. The staff was friendly and helped me with my vegetarian order (they also offer vegan options). I enjoyed the atmosphere and people-watched while waiting for my food, which arrived quickly. Although our dosa and puri didn't travel well, the flavors were amazing and we finished everything. I wasn't a fan of the I...

We had been hearing about Surati Farsan and their Indian street food, sweets, and savory snacks for months and were eager to visit. The restaurant mainly caters to an Indian clientele and the food tasted very authentic, bringing back memories of eating street food in India. A tip for anyone planning to visit is to order ahead online for takeout. This is because the restaurant can get very busy and crowded, making it difficult to find a seat. Ordering takeout also allows you to customize the condiments to your preferred spice level. The Pani Puri was particularly delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfectly crispy puris. We also enjoyed the Sev Puri, Bhel Puri, and Dabeli. Additionally, we...
I had heard about this place on HappyCow and decided to stop by to sample the food. Here is my review of Surati Farsan Mart. I was immediately impressed upon entering the store. It is clean, modern, and stylish with red and black painted walls and bright yellow lighting illuminating the glass display cases. There were a variety of sweet and savory fried snacks in the cases, all of which looked intriguing. I purchased a selection of items that did not contain dairy, but vegans should inquire about specific ingredients.
3/5/23..Our first time here, and while the cashier person wasn’t mean, he wasn’t nice. I told him it was our first time here and weren’t sure what to order- we felt rushed. This is a “in the know” you got to know what you’re getting before ordering kind of place. Everything we ordered was too spicy for us, and the flavor was bland but now I know to look at the internet menu as it has a description of menu items. The Indian iced coffee (tasted like regular ice coffee)and mango lassi was good Reserva una mesa ahora
On a Sunday afternoon, I ordered an Amul sandwich at the restaurant. I was disappointed to find a hair in my food. When I brought it to the attention of the staff, no one offered an apology or even acknowledged the mistake. They asked me to wait a little longer while they supposedly remade the sandwich. After 10 minutes of waiting, I received the same cold sandwich on a different plate, which was not a satisfactory solution.
Mini India offers delicious food and excellent service. Our order included plain dosa, bhel, jalebi, shrikhand puri, pani puri, rose lassi, khaman, and khasta kachori. Everything was tasty, although the bhel could have been improved. The mild bhel we ordered only had tamarind chutney. Despite this, our overall experience was positive.
This is a great place to enjoy Indian street food. The service is fast and the restaurant is usually busy on weekends. They offer a wide variety of chat items at affordable prices. Parking is limited, so you may need to find street parking or use paid parking options.
We were visiting friends in LA.. wanted to try some chaat places around the area.. found this one and we have no regrets! The chaats were amazing and tasted goooood.. we got the Pani Puri, Bhel Puri, Sev Puri, Dahi Sev Puri, Chole Batura, Dabeli and Jilebi (yumm!!! Reserva una mesa ahora
Good food but always crowded so it can be difficult to find a place to sit. I really like the Pav Bhaji, Bhel Puri and Dabeli here. The Thali was also great. Dahi Sev Puri and Falooda were just alright. Parking on the weekends is also a struggle here.
First ever place in SoCal where we found fairly fresh Jalebi! We ordered grilled cheese sandwich and it was great! No complaints!
