As a returning customer, I am disappointed with the quality of the chicken we were given. Came in at 11:30am Sunday, they gave us quickly heated up a day-old teriyaki chicken. How do I know? The top and outer parts of the chicken were very dry. I cook all the time at home and would know this. When freshly grilled, all parts are supposed to be moist. Perhaps we are the first customers of the day, but take note that people notice these subtle differences in quality.
The food was delicious I like how they separate the sauce from the meat and the portion is decent size even though I would like to have a little more . The service was fast I was able to just walked in and order and the wait wasn't that long. The place looks nice inside if I wasn't on a hurry I would dine in. Overall I would definitely go back. The staff are friendly and quick service.
Well oiled machine of a restaurant that can easily satisfy your hankering for teriyaki. News articles and spotlights posted on the storefront are always a good sign. Favorite item here is the combo with a little sriracha on the steak and maybe a little extra coleslaw (normally hate the stuff but I like the way they do it).
Wont accept cash and the owner has an absolutely bizarre reason why. Meat quality has also gone down and the store is verrry dirty and dusty, especially the ceiling. Used to love these guys and been coming for 20 years since the San Marcos location. Clean the shop and let us pay in cash.
