I ordered the Deluxe Sushi Combo Chef's Choice, which came with 13 pieces. Unfortunately, most of the fish appeared to be aburi, meaning it was cooked with a gas burner, leading me to question the freshness of the fish. The octopus was watery and some of the rice in the nigiri was warm and there was too much rice in each piece. The green tea I ordered was very weak for a sushi restaurant. Additionally, our server did not refill our water throughout the meal. While the presentation of the sushi was good, I was not impressed overall and do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
Cute local sushi spot, attached to a unique architectural building. They have a small outdoor patio in front and back. Their salmon hug was very unique, 3 pieces of minced spicy tuna wrapped in seared salmon. The tuna had a tartare texture. Wish there were more pieces, as this was my favorite item. Would also be nice if this was paired with a crunchy chip, for some contrast in texture.Seems that they do strong takeout and delivery business, as they only had one server the evening we came, who was very nice. Fairly extensive menu.
Diner quality (or tourist trap? at downtown price. The supposed comfort food udon soup was a bowl of tossed together kitchen scraps (half a garden salad and cold tempuras and an absolute RAW egg that's cracked into the lukewarm broth a second before serving. Please Google how udon is served because that was just disappointing. No wonder the place was embarrassingly empty during otherwise busy lunch hours...
I had the worst sushi experience in Vancouver at this restaurant. The shrimp nigiri was stiff, dry, and had a bad, old smell. None of the food tasted good. They claimed to be out of salmon when we arrived, but then served me two dishes with salmon in them with my lunch order. The space is poorly maintained and the decorations are disorganized and cluttered.

We ordered a sushi platter for four people and it was both beautifully presented and delicious. The restaurant was a bit warm inside, but they had outdoor seating available. However, there were no umbrellas outside, so it was quite hot.
I ordered the dynamite combo and received it along with the 4pcs of nigiri, unfortunately the fish/sashimi was paper thin. Overall food is tasty but the nigiri was disappointing, to put it nicely.
Usually unimpressed with tuna rolls elsewhere but I was amazed with the tuna here! So fresh and delicious; will become one of my go-to spots for sushi in Vancouver
Wow! What a great experience. The sushi was absolutely delicious, the service was great and the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back soon!

Best sushi in Granville island !! Staff isreally friendly and the atmosphere is verypleasant. Would recommend toanyone in the area!
Amazing service, presentation and taste. Love it here, 10/10 would recommend.
