We don't come to Oryza Sushi just to eat sushi, but we come to live a culinary experience, dotted with history. The chef who makes the sushi, who also happens to be the boss, tells you about his passion for sushi and the respect he has for Japanese culture. I learned that sushi is eaten by hand, that wasabi and sauce should not be mixed, and that sauce should not be put on rice, only on fish. Now you are free to do as you wish (or almost). All this demonstrates his passion and it is felt in his cooking. The service is also top notch and totally mastered. Please note that all the products used are of high quality. Coming from Lausanne, I came today (08/23/23) for the first time to eat in this restaurant with a friend following several recommendations. What an excellent surprise! We both chose an assortment of sushi with a seaweed salad as a starter: it was delicious! I found these dishes tasty and taste-balanced. They brought back good memories of a trip to Japan a few years ago thank you! I will definitely come back! Plus, the staff are lovely, what more could you ask for?
I come back to her sushis whenever I can in a wine bar in Freiburg (TM/TW). They're coming every Wednesday night. Your fish is always fresh and tasteful. If you are looking for a great combination of wine and sushis, you should check this address. This has nothing to do with your chain restaurant sushis. It is fresh, minute made and everything on the menu is delicious. Try her special Japanese vegetables or Calamari salad!
The experience was amazing! Japanese umami in Neuchâtel! The food was great! Very good service! I would recommend booking before as it is quite small and it is like eating on a large family table. I thought it was kind of cool and could be really interesting to make a big dinner there.
