I was a regular customer who thought the food was decent and at a reasonable price until a recent experience. The restaurant is very close to my office and I recently bought takeaway including a side dish of blanched broccoli. When I got back to my office and opened the container, however, I discovered that most of the broccoli was black and rotten, with a rotten smell. I was very surprised because the broccoli was so obviously inedible that I couldn't comprehend how the cook could overlook this. I brought it back to show the manager after I finished work a few hours later, however the manager kept trying to deny that there was anything wrong with the broccoli and in fact blamed me for not bringing it back sooner (he seemed to think that the broccoli had ruined inside the container during the few hours, even though I repeatedly told him that I had opened it with the intention of eating it about 5 min after I bought it, and the broccoli was already like that, which is why i kept it to bring back later). I was not rude to him and I never asked for my money back. He offered no apology and even laughed and said "what do you want me to do about it?". Wow I've never managed a restaurant but I can think of a dozen different things that a competent manager could do. This restaurant is always quite busy and popular with office workers but they are clearly becoming complacent. The attitude of the manager is flippant and dismissive and it's apparent that he doesn't care that his kitchen is serving rotten food (especially dangerous in a place that serves raw seafood). If he had acknowledged the issue I would still have returned. But sadly that is too much to ask so I will not be returning and want to warn everyone to stay away.
