Sweet Cane Cafe - Reserva de mesa

We stopped here for lunch after Visiting Akaka falls and on the way to the Kiluea Visitor Center. Parking was difficult and we had to wait a bit for a spot to open up. The restaurant is surprisingly large inside with decent sized tables. You order up front first before finding your own table. We tried the sugarcane juice which was ok and watered down with coconut water imo. The mung bean soup was good and the quinoa and bean burger was fantastic. We also had the avocado, sprouts sandwich and the side of tabouleh salad with mint was excellent. Service was quick and efficient. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the Hilo area.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. A little slice of heaven here in Hilo. Every single item is absolutely delicious! My personal favorites are the durian smoothies, and the ulu burger, but everything is so amazing. The owners are very sweet people that own a local farm which much of the restaurant is supplied with. Tons of rosemary growing outside to be harvested as well which is just a fantastic cherry on top of this great establishment!

Delicious, local and healthy vegan/vegetarian dishes. Always feel good eating here and feeding my family on their cute patio. Some dishes may need extra seasoning or spice (they have awesome housemade hot sauces you could use, btw , but I appreciate that because you can add to your liking. Love their jalapeño ulu burger, smoky kalo burger, buckwheat pancakes, kale salad, and all the cane juices. Their smoothies are divine, as well as the brownie :

We stopped in Hilo for a quick bite and were blown away by this amazing spot! I got the avocado sandwich with tabbouleh and my spouse tried the Smoky Taro burger with sauerkraut, two smoothies and the mango dragonfruit mousse (my personal favorite). Everything tasted so fresh and portions were generous! We enjoyed eating on the patio but the inside was also really charming and I noticed they had a few activities for kids to do at the tables. Stopped in for lunch when we got off the plane. We remembered this place from our last visit and knew we would have food options for our dietary needs. We had the Taco Tuesday special, made with vegetarian refried beans. We had no idea how they'd be because we usually have tacos with some kind of meat and refried beans on the side, and it did not disappoint!

We just loved loved the food and everything there. We eat #jain food which is without onion garlic or any root vegetables. Cafe was sweet to customize the food for us. We loved it so much that we drove 2 hr to eat here. We had their kale salad, pancakes, açaí bowl, chickpeas burger. They had so many vegan desert options. All of it was super delicious

I was very satisfied with the taste and quantity of the extensive vegan menu, and I kept coming back to it during my stay in Hilo. The coffee was served in a French press and had a mild, light flavor. The interior is casual and bright, and the service is friendly, so it's easy to see why it's so popular.

I blessed to have a great vegan restaurant so close! The people are amazing and the food is sooo delicious! I can’t wait to eat there again! A good friend from Kona said she drives all the way to Sweet Cane Cafe for her vegan brownies! Reserva una mesa ahora

The sugar cane juice was so good! The good was excellent. The Jackfruit smoothie was delicious!
