"I came here the first time for dessert and ordered the belgian waffles and extra ice cream. The menu had a good variety at very reasonable prices. The staff were also friendly. The food arrived promptly, well presented and at great serving size. Unlike sone cheap stale waffles I've tasted - this waffle was nicely crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The green tea ice cream was also creamy. I will dedinitely be back to try more on the menu!"

A cute little shop right on the corner, that well and truly has a suburban charm and feel to it, Sweet Treats Dessert Bar is popular with all the locals for a number of good reasons. While it is easy to find a good coffee anywhere in town, what Sweet Treats does better is a number of aspects - want coffee later on, because who doesn't? Plus the sweets just aren't regular muffins or afterthoughts, and they make the whole space matter so having it there is more tempting. That and a few others make it a sure-fire winner. With a slightly different plan for the weekend coming up, which was where after church on Saturday I was going to go down to stay with my parents, that meant the usual weeken...

Sweet treats café is our new hideout for afternoon caffeine hits. The established has been open for a few years now and never failed to draw in a crowd of followers. Our usual involves cappuccino, toffee nut latte, cake of the day & waffles. The coffees here are consistently good. They use locally roasted beans from Black Star West End which has strong bold flavours with a hint of malt and molasses after taste. Paired as a cappuccino, you get a strong, smooth and complex brew which tames the caffeine hunger sweet spot. Latte art on the other hand is average at best. 4.5/5 Toffee nut latte is a seasonal release mainly for the autumn/winter months. It utilizes the same Black Star coffee...

I had a Hojicha (roasted green tea) creme brûlée with sesame ice cream. The creme brûlée was particularly good, great incorporation of the hojicha flavour. From a dessert plating up perspective, pairing a soft dessert with another soft dessert (ice cream) is a slight mismatch. The ice cream was average which brings down the creme brûlée which is a shame. It's like a pretty girl who wears too much make up or a guy that is wearing too many loud accessories. Too much! The creme brûlée stands on its own it's THAT good. My brother had the tiramisu in a jar. He said it was okay but could have used more sponge fingers as it had too much cream in it which I tend to agree with. Otherwise the flavou...

Who doesn't want to warm themselves up with a nice cuppa on a winter night...  With that being said, my friend and I caught up on a Thursday evening at Sweet Treats. It was around 7:30-8pm and most tables inside were taken (as expected), leaving the side benches with high stools available. We jumped in the queue and began checking out the menu on the wall behind the counter. I wasn't feeling a caffeinated beverage so I opted for a Matcha Latte and coincidently, my friend ordered the same.  Our Matcha Lattes came within 10mins and was served warmish hot. Mine was served in a takeaway cup (to maintain the warmth) and my friends was presented in a dine-in glass with a neat latte art... Reserva una mesa ahora

I mean to explore this dessert bar for a long time since it has been opened a few years ago. I was tempted to visit it at the first glance of reading the Chinese translation of the Soy Custard that they are serving. Walked in couple of weeks' ago and found that it was nearly full house. Customers were not limited to young generations but all age groups. Ordered the Soy custard and their signature of Belgium Waffles. I loved to see them follow separate syrup for the custard so I can adjust the degree of sweetness myself, however, the custard was not smooth as what I had at the Just Soy Café. On the other hand, the waffles gained marks back with crispy texture and refreshing ice-cream. With on... Reserva una mesa ahora

Came here after dinner for some coffee and dessert (only me, no one else leaves enough space for dessert .. except me..). I ordered the soy custard with grass jelly, it was alright. Great portion size for the price but i wished the syrup you add was just a little bit sweeter and also i wish there was a choice for tapioca pearls! Couldn't compare with just soy cafe though... but i guess soy custard is their specialty over there so they have a lot more variety etc. Everyone said the coffee was good. My friend told me that they use good beans from West End blackstar or something ?
