"My husband and I were craving sushi. Not the best i have had, and maybe over priced. I did find a hair in my soy sauce as i poured it. No complaints on service or friendliness. The squid was good, our waitress was very kind, and attentive. They had a beautiful outdoor seating area with lots of trees. I enjoyed the ambiance."

Nice little sushi restaurant here at local Portland. Very beautiful outdoor seating area. We came in for dinner and it was pretty busy. They suggested book reservations ahead. I ordered curry pork and miso mushroom soup, and my hubby got a roll. Curry was flavorful but not enough curry to cover the pork. We asked if we can have more curry and they told us it?s going to be extra$5. Miso soup have some mushrooms and tofu inside. They only put the small mushroom head which is good. The roll was ok, they made with good material but the texture was a little lack. Tempura inside was already soften instead of being crispy. Believe or not, the su chef saved the customer service. The actual servicer...

Syun Izakaya is one of the two Sushi sites we visited (the other is their sister restaurant in Forest Grove), no other place in the area measures it. The sushi and many dishes on the menu are excellent and delicious. Recently we tried her Hawaiian fish crudo, is on the appetizer section, and oh my goodness! Was that a plate to get seconds? Yes! We ordered a second, their special sushi reels are my favorite, and the tuna cakes with their tuna salad are also a hit. The Kakuni and the Japanese picking Veggies are two more favorites. My only regret is to have discovered this local jewel a few years ago, I was missing!

Came here on a Friday night and expected a 30-minute wait for a table for 2. The exterior seats are beautiful, but only the sections with more lights in the terrace. We are not rolling people, so tried their ramen salad and tako gurke, and Hokkaido chirashi. They are generally decent, but we have to wait for 40 minutes before we get food. I generally think the quality is good, but our experience seems to be victims among servants.

They were twice as far and enjoyed it! Gorgeously fresh sushi, service can be busy during peak hours, so it can take a second to get space. Many great seats outside in summer. The main area of the seat can speak quite loud with music and other tables during peak hours, but the back room is quiet and has a beautiful atmosphere. Definitely recommend for sushi during in Hillsboro!
