Taberna Trasteo

Tuna is harvested in May and is on many menus here in Zahara. We had 3 versions of tuna here. One satay, with sauce peanut), lemon grass and leaves, another octopus salad with other bits of fried fish and another with dollops of guacamole. The menu is small. A couple of beers and a glass of red wine. This came to 58 Euros. Nice service. A snack a tad expensive for portions involved. But still a great place to hang out. The tuna quality is outstanding.

We had dinner at this place the first night of our vacation. The place looked nice and there were several people waiting. We had to wait few minutes to get seated and we ordered a starter (fried balls with potato and ham) and two dishes, anchovies and meat with fries. The plates were minuscule. The meat dish costed 20 euros and had 5-7 thin slices of raw meat with small cubes of fried potato which tasted terrible. Awful experience.

14€ for 12 boquerones is ridiculous ! For that price you get a large serving anywhere else. Also had the crujiente of pulpo which was very tasty but again not very filling. The beer at 250€ is very expensive.

Lovely place and very attentive staff. We were 5 and without a reservation but they managed to give us a table with good social distancing. Dishes were good and the prices are worth for quality quantity.

Excelente comida. La calidad del atún es increíble. Definitivamente un lugar para comer. Los postres podrían mejorar, pero los platos principales son excelentes.
