After the cashier finished, she promptly walked away, leaving us alone at the counter. We were standing there ready to order. We kept standing. Every minute or so they would stare at us then go back to what they were doing. After 5 min of no acknowledgement, we left and went to Torchys across the street. I was a bit hesitant due to the low Yelp ratings, which I generally rely on for recommendations—especially when they're low, as I usually avoid those places. However, I really enjoy Taco Cabana; when it's good, it's really good, and I was craving a couple of crunchy tacos. I came across some of the negative reviews for this restaurant, and it seems that many complaints revolve around slow drive-thru service. However, I dined in the restaurant and had no issues, especially since I wasn't rushed. I should mention that I live in Washington State, and whenever I visit Texas, the first thing I do is search for a Taco Cabana. The food here is genuinely delicious and affordable. You can enjoy cheap tacos and burritos that offer great quality. They also serve alcoholic drinks, and there's a salsa bar available. I frequently recommend Taco Cabana to others. For those in Texas who take this place for granted, just know you are fortunate. Sincerely, a very envious fan.
I ate breakfast at the Waco Taco Cabana on Saturday morning, March 2, 2019 around 7:30 AM. The food was good: no better or no worse than any other Taco Cabana. I love their breakfast, and the selection of salsas. What impressed me more than anything was how upbeat, and nice the staff. Was. There was a young man, and woman working the front, and both were friendly as if I ate breakfast there every morning and had for years. It really is special touches like this make the difference. Taco Cabana Management really needs to recognize the morning crew from March 2. They are an awesome team, and are projecting a great image for Taco Cabana. I will be back anytime I am in Waco or passing through.

My family drove through Waco this past Sunday, and it really is unfortunate that so many Waco restaurants are closed on Sunday. Half my family wanted Taco Cabana and half wanted Chipotle. We stopped at Taco Cabana first, and the wait going through the drive through was so long that it was painful. We had to take lots of deep breaths. We waited 20 minutes. 20 minutes for 6 tacos! Totally unacceptable. The chicken fajita tacos had very little meat in them. We went by Chipotle after, and we were in and out in about 5 minutes. We are going to stick with Chipotle from now on.
We so need a taco cabana in Killeen Texas yep I said it! I love this place although it did take more than 5 minutes to cook taquitos with two vehicles in front me. Food was hot and fresh just like I love it though. Not sure about the customer service it was kind of non existent. Like hurry up and move kind of attitude in the drive thru
