Tacofino - Reservar una mesa

The food was incredible, and overall, the service was excellent. However, I did have one complaint: one staff member was reprimanding another for not answering the phone while both were assisting customers. This was done in an unprofessional manner, with her speaking while her mouth was full, which was quite off-putting. I felt sorry for the other two staff members who were clearly working hard. It might be beneficial to provide some coaching, especially since this location is new, but addressing issues in such an unprofessional way – particularly while handling food – seems inappropriate.

I did deduct one point due to the pricing, which is a bit steep. I'm sure that many Mexican nationals and most Americans would be surprised by how much we Canadians pay for what is essentially street food. I can imagine other restaurants feeling envious of how much this place, along with others with minimal decor and seating, manages to earn. But in terms of food, it's hard to beat the nutritional value, taste, and sheer enjoyment of a meal at this restaurant.

The food is good, but unfortunately, the staff exhibit racist behavior, which makes the experience much less enjoyable. I wasn't initially certain if I was just imagining things, so I visited several times to observe. Each time, they served everyone behind me in line before serving me, and this has happened three times now. I don't believe it's a coincidence. It's really disheartening to see that racism is still present in our society.

My first experience with Tacofino was at their original food truck in Tofino. So when I discovered that they had opened a restaurant in Victoria, I was thrilled! Their vegan burrito is the best I've ever had—delicious and well worth the price. I highly recommend it!

The fish taco was enjoyable, showcasing a variety of flavors. The portion size was reasonable for the price, making it an excellent option for a light afternoon snack. I would definitely return for more.

I was thrilled to discover a Tacofina in Victoria! The food is absolutely amazing, and the service is both quick and friendly. As for parking, I ended up having to park down the street.

Vegan burritos are clearly labeled. I ordered mine to go and enjoyed it with some water. I now understand all the rave reviews. I would definitely come back!
