The new restaurant on Clairmont has an inviting exterior and ample parking, which tends to fill up by noon. Inside, the space is clean and predominantly white, bathed in natural light, with just a few ethnic decorations that have accumulated dust. The tables are well-spaced, allowing for comfortable movement around the dining area. The waitstaff are quick, friendly, and attentive. Water is served in a pitcher, naan magically appears, and empty plates disappear just as swiftly.

Amazing place, but a public service announcement... when they bring out the giant plate of meat that's sizzling hot.. that's not your dinner. Your dinner comes later. I had to doggie bag my dinner because I was too full from the complimentary appetizer. First time for everything I guess Thank you, Taj India that was the best practical joke ever... and I've got a delicious lunch to look forward to tomorrow. Awesome Ambiance, Absolutely Delicious Authentic Indian Food . Great Service with Smile . Our Food was perfectly cooked to our Request. Everything came to our table as we love , starting with piping hot Mix platters then followed with Lamb saag and one of the best Butter Chicken along with Chilli Garlic Naan , Lacha Paratha and Onion Salad . Oh not to forget the Best Desert kulfi and Gulab Jamun .
The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They let us sit outside on the patio with our little dog since we were traveling and couldn't leave her in the car. The food was tasty; the butter chicken was a bit spicy for my kids, but they provided some yogurt sauce to balance the heat. We were really pleased to have a nice meal there and would definitely recommend this place.

Finally found a great Indian restaurant! It's taken us four months, but we've discovered an excellent lunch buffet that showcases various house specialties. The food was hot, spicy, and enjoyable, with naan delivered fresh and hot to complement our meal. Thank you and see you soon!
This was my first visit to the new location, and my first experience with the buffet. I wasn't particularly impressed because there is no menu service available if you don't like the three protein options offered at the buffet.
Chef special Thali and House special were both delicious! Wish there was a bit more of the protein on the dish. All in all yummy and will come back.
They recently renovated, their Qeema is so authentic, it will stand on its own against any local restaurant in Pakistan or India.

Beyond happy for the relocation of Taj in the Forest Park area. One of the best Indian restaurants in the Birmingham area.
Taj is our favorite spot for Indian cuisine! The food is consistently excellent, and the staff is fantastic!
