It was our first time to visit Cabramatta.  I was actually looking for that Yum Cha restaurant but for some reason I could not just find it and we ended up eating here at Hai Van.  It was a small food court inside a small plaza.  We didn't really know what to order so we just pointed to the picture which looks appealing.  Was not really in the mood to be picky because we were already very hungry.  Anyway, I ordered a dry noodle dish with Vietnamese sausage and some meat on it while hubby had rice with pork cutlet.  The dry noodle was surprisingly good especially if you have the dressing/sauce with it.  What I love most is the sausage.  Sweet and savory at the same time.  It is just yummy.  I...

Banh cuon has been a favourite dish of mine since I was around 7yo. It was always such a treat for breakfast, the warm rice noodles enveloping pork mince and mushroom over a bed of lettuce, mints, bean sprouts and cha lua; a delicious Vietnamese pork devon. Oh and the burnt onion on top gives it even more flavour. I'd pour loads and loads of fish sauce on top of everything and devour it all in minutes. In Sydney it can be hard to find and I only know of a couple of places, Tan Hung Vuong is one and Phu Quoc is the other one. In the more traditional version of banh cuon the rice cakes are flat rather than round here, but really no complaints here, they taste pretty good. Not bad for $7.50.......

From one food court, into another, we then went to Cabramatta’s No 1 Shopping Centre – I promise you that’s the real name. Tan Hung Vuong is one of the larger stalls here, their menu features many lesser-known dishes When Melina asked if the banh xeo picture was an egg omelette, I immediately knew I had to order it For just $10, we were served a glass of iced tea, a plate of lettuce with fresh mint and herbs, a bowl of nuoc cham fish dipping sauce and the hero banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake/crepe). The crispy crepe consists of rice flour, coconut milk and tumeric; folded together, it sandwiches a savoury combination of mung beans, onion, shrimp and pork I demonstrated the...read more

I find this hard to evaluate because it has my favorite soup noodle bowl, but it is very different from what I also use! as a court itself it is not bad, but as well as nam veng nudeln it is a failure! The suppenbase is completely different, but most of the ingredients is what I am also next door in minh minh khang the ingredients are not as close as this place, but there suppenbase is closer to what I am to use although they are added to m yum if they should not. I'd say minh's 50% what I'm using. my mother enjoyed her reisnudel dish they also give free cup tee you do not come here because of the ambientes, like an Asian food dish, it is not the cleanest place Reserva una mesa ahora

the food dishes in cabramatta are different than most food dishes they find in large shopping centers. there are no kfc, mcdoanlds, doner kebab providers or fake Chinese stands. they are mostly fresh and authentic food from vietnam, Thailand, china and laos.

the amount of restaurants in cabramatta can be a little bit in common as they see everywhere a cornucopia of food, especially asian natural. the first restaurant in which we settled was pho tau bay in the john street. this place is specialized in Reserva una mesa ahora
