Tao Cafe - Reserva de mesa

Tao feels like it's trying a bit too hard to be everything all at once. We came as a group of 4 for a mid week dinner and the place was almost empty. Picking up the menu and it kind of felt like I was in an "upmarket" Hans cafe to be honest. Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese sections offered everything from curry laksa, spring rolls and pad Thai, to tuna tataki, oysters and sashimi. We ordered the ichiban and crazy crab sushi rolls for entree - having had some awesome sushi in Perth it's hard not to compare, and although it was ok, the sushi was really quite forgettable. Tao se siente como si fuera un poco demasiado difícil de ser todo a la vez. Vinimos como un grupo de 4 por una cena de media semana y el lugar estaba casi vacío. Recogiendo el menú y se sintió como si estuviera en un "Upmarket" Hans Cafe para ser honesto. Las secciones tailandesas, vietnamitas y japonesas ofrecieron todo, desde curry laksa, rollos de primavera y almohadilla tailandesa, hasta atún Tataki, Oysters y Sashimi. First impression was the place was souless. Second Maxine the waitress made it known three times that she was giving us tap water (much to both of our amusement) but totally stupid to do that. The food was ordinary. I had vegetarian TEMURA which was TASTLESS! The cook (who was about 19 years old) had put no salt on the vegetables whatsoever. The only redeeming feature was the waiter Iman who was patient, charming and professional....so he is the one that gets the one point nothing else there deserves it! I go out to eat food that i can either not cook myself or is a little bit special......no wonder this establishment had to resort to discount coupons to get customers. We will not be going b... Woeful. Had the karaage bento box, chicken was greasy, miso soup was lukewarm. Salad was covered in a strange dressing. Also doesn't come with things like sushi/sashimi/spring rolls/edamame as per other Japanese offerings nearby that at similarly priced. Service is quick. Best to try elsewhere.

Food poisoning! Dont go! My wife and I BOTH had food poisonning on 11th June 2017 with sushis from the train. Were horribly sick for 2 days and even had fever. When we came back to manager he said he couldnt do anything!! Shameful!

I was so disappointed with my food I downloaded and signed up to zomato just to leave a bad review. The restaurant embodiment of the phrase "jack of all trades, master of none"

I'm still searching for my favourite sushi train spot in Perth so when I discovered Tao I couldn't help but go in & give it a go! The sushi was okay - It Reserva una mesa ahora

This is my favourite sushi train in PerthThere is always a great selection but staff are happy to make your favourite sushi if it is not on the train.
