We recently visited Mi Palenque for dinner as a party of five, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. This used to be one of our favorite spots, but the quality of both food and service has declined significantly. From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant. The host seated us in a booth meant for four people, despite our group size, and we had to request a larger table. The restaurant was freezing, to the point where even the waitresses were wearing their coats. It was impossible to enjoy the meal while shivering, and we couldn’t even take off our jackets. We visited Mi Palenque today as a party of 4, and were charged an automatic 20% gratuity. We left an additional cash tip. Due to not being informed of the automatic gratuity charge for a party of 4 no sign posted). This used to be our favorite spot for menudo 13.99) but the consistency in flavor with their menudo has been a hit or miss! Chilaquiles rojos de cecina $19.99) and the only thing that was tasty was the cecina everything else trash). Agua de horchata didn't have much flavor. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The quality of both food and service has declined significantly!
I can’t say much about the atmosphere because we stopped in for a late morning lunch. There wasn’t much going on, but it looks like the kind of place that can host a lot of fun. Food was okay and is way to expensive. We paid $160. For 5 people. And they add tips straight on the ticket $25. !!! We will never comeback this place ever again. Service: Dine in
