Taqueria Playa Tropical

Went here last night for the first time, been wanting to go for ages and finally decided to go and I was not let down! It wasn't too busy so we got seated right away. They had live music and they were playing Xmas themed songs and it was such a relaxing environment. As soon as we were seated they brought our chips and 2 containers of salsa. We asked what is good to try and the waitress was very nice and explained, I just said I'm a pig and I want to try everything haha. We ordered the ceviche to start. It was really fresh and of course came with chips. We also ordered the shrimp, chorizo, beef, and chicken tacos they were all really great, fresh and amazing. We liked the chorizo and shrimp the best so we ordered another 2! Haha. We also got 2 of the margaritas with the mini coronas they were well made. I also ordered the flautas, perfectly cooked, never had better ones. I have ate at several Mexican restaurants across the US and been to Mexico several times, will have to say this is right up there with the best, it's very authentic and tastes amazing. I think my wife and I found a new place to go! Can't wait to try the monster burrito!

So, the monster burrito is MASSIVE. Even bigger than expected. My husband couldn't finish it even though it was delicious. I had the tacos carnitas and they may have been the best tacos I've ever had. The service is a touch slow, but you can see they are hustling hard the whole time. The food is 100% worth waiting for, and you can enjoy a nice cold beer and some chips and salsa while you chill. Check this place out. It's fantastic!

We over ordered...found a deal on Mobile Bandit and were driving by and stopped in. This is a mid sized but kind of hole in the wall place....NOTHING fancy. But the food is unbelievable....service is great.....prices are ridiculous for what you get.

The food at this place is excellent and the ambiance when there is live Latin music is superb. Have come here many times and it disappoints. Lots of Gluten Free options for celiacs. Two thumbs up!
