Tasquaria Chafariz

Fantastic end to a long holiday of not necessarily great food throughout Andalucia. On our brief stop in Faro, our host and fellow guests (Opus One Guest House) recommended the place which was just a few minutes walk for us. We were not disappointed as the welcome was friendly, the wine delicious, and the food....well, this was just what we dreamed to have (we shared pork/clam Cataplana). It was deliciously fresh, we sampled two wonderful desserts (sweet potato/almond cake carob/lemon) after, then tasted the chefs Raspberry liqueur. The restaurant was quiet because we ate early, but this meant we had really nice conversation with our hosts in this fabulous small restaurant. A lasting memory...

Absolutely in love with this place! Second year coming here and NOT disappointed at all! We had the “cataplana marisca” which is a delicious and big seafood platter for 2 persons. The sauce is to die for and the seafood perfect cooked.. We will definitely come back AGAIN! Food, wine, dessert, all at a perfect reasonable price.

You can make your journey in the traditional portuguese gastronomy. Excellent service, fresh and seasonal food, the wine is amazing, personalized food, the piano cataplana are amazing, the seafood is super tasty... A place to visit, a restaurant to enjoy...
