I was a visitor to Brittlebank Park recently to attend a free Reggae concert, as part of the Spoleto/Piccolo Festival. The Taste of Islands was the only food vendor on site, so I patronized them in hopes of getting something good to eat for my dinner. Boy, was I disappointed! I know West Indian foods and flavors very well, so I expected to taste certain seasonings while eating the brown stewed chicken, rice and peas, and cabbage. I can honestly say that the food offered by The Taste of Islands was the least flavorful “Island” food that I have EVER tasted. This restaurant is absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was spotless, and the woman who welcomed me was incredibly friendly and warm. It truly felt like a welcoming environment. My dining experience was nothing short of fantastic and unforgettable. The energy inside was electric, and the music was beautiful and soul-stirring—truly spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and the sweet potato cake for dessert was simply outstanding. A huge thank you to the entire staff for their hard work. This restaurant deserves more than five stars, so I'm giving it even more stars for the amazing team!
This restaurant is simply amazing. The place was clean too. The woman who greeted me was so nice and pleasant. The place was clean. A very welcoming environment. My diving experience was just fantastic and remarkable. The energy inside was so great. The music was beautiful and heart felt to the soul. The food was spectacular. I really enjoyed my meal. Oh and Dessert, for which the sweet potato cake should live. Thank you for all the efforts of the entire staff. This restaurant deserves more than five stars, so here are more stars for the whole staff.
The people are nice and friendly but if you’re a native of NJ or NY, this food is not the same. Here, things are a bit sweeter and less savory. The plantains are firm, instead of being cooked down. The patty wasn’t our fav. either. ?? Happy to support a BOB, but I doubt I’d be back.

Was in Charleston SC and visited the restaurant. Was impressed with the food and staff! Extremely professional and courteous. Prices were fair and they had the best jerk chicken in town! We will definitely visit the restaurant again next year!
We have ordered from here on a number of occasions. The curry goat is probably my favorite item on the menu. The oxtail and jerk chicken are also quite delicious.The sides were good too.
They had the best food we have found my husband ox tails was delicious my curry chicken was very good I recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for good Caribbean food
Watch the bones!! Big lamb curry, but tons of sharp bones during the plate, Heikes!! My buddy had the chicken and it was good.

Yum. And the food was delicious. These earrings are breathtaking around 5 a pieces. I'm back.
