The sweet old lady who runs the store would recognize me and my friends and we would be able to have a conversation with her about ice cream and what we were studying for in college.I recently came back for the first time since the pandemic started and smiled to see the same old woman running the store. Even though I voted for Joe Biden, I appreciate the Trump decorations because I believe everyone wants to make America great again. My favorite spot in the restaurant is at the well-used Buffalo Wild Wings tables where I can admire an old pay phone from the early 80s! The highlight on the menu has to be the banana split sundaes; I highly recommend trying them as the staff is always excited to prepare them. It’s such a pleasure to walk into such a warm environment where they offer free samples of every ice cream flavor to help you decide what to order. Wow. I have nothing to say but wow. I am a Minority and my whole family are minorities too. I can’t believe all these reviews saying that this amazing old woman is racist. That’s awful. She has always given my family the upmost respect and care since I was a child. I’m now a grown man and will be taking my nieces to get some ice cream today. They don’t deserve this hate at all, they have always been super nice to me. Also so what if she has trump merch? It’s her property and she can do what she wants. Don’t like it? I was ready to pay, but I noticed there was no cash, only card payment signs, so I assumed that card payments were accepted. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but it was hard not to wonder if her attitude was influenced by racial bias since one of us is Asian. However, it’s also possible that she could be struggling with other issues. On top of that, the restaurant itself was in poor condition. There was a strong moldy smell, and I noticed a lack of sanitation practices, particularly relating to the separate ice scoops for different flavors. This is concerning for people with allergies. My brother raved about this little ice cream shop...so I took mom& he was absolutely right! We had Almond Joy ice cream in a waffle cone...yum yum yum!!! The owner is so sweet greeting the kids who came in while we sat there enjoying our cone. We will definitely go back again!!! This little shop is well worth the ride. Enjoy and you're welcome

This ice cream shop has the best distributor of ice cream, there name is Homers Ice Cream products, they are all the way in the North Shore. There prices here at the shop in Westmont are very reasonable. Five stars all the way.

Tina has run her ice cream store her way since 1999. She’s a hoot and an original.it’s also one of the only places to get quality Homer ice cream. The chocolate is made with 3 blended cocoas. It’s a local treasure.
